Bravo's latest reality TV spin-off of middle-aged women, "Real Housewives of Miami" has officially come to the end of it's first (and probably last) season. Who knows, we might have to ask "Mama' Elsa" what the future really holds for the "ladies" of Miami - I mean she did steal the show after all.
Bravo TV viewers were able to cut last night's "Watch What Happen's Live" tension with a knife, as most of the season's drama seemed to revolve around Cristy Rice "Fernandez" (as Brazilian bombshell, Adriana, obviously seems to refer to her as) and Larsa Pippen.
It seems that Cristy ate the most out of this season's drama pie - after crashing Lea's charity gala and being confronted face-to-face by Lea's co-signer, Adriana (about paying for her ticket only after being invoiced), being accused by Marysol's mother, Elsa, for being a good-for-nothing cheater - while Alexia also put Cristy in place for dishing some "Hialeah gossip" about her and her husband in her blog.
Cristy's "gold-diggin' and home-wreckin'" persona seemed to intensify as recent pictures of her new mysterious boy-toy went viral online before the show even premiered on Bravo. She's known for her infamous divorce with Glen Rice, and her affair with Luis Fonsi - so who the heck is this new guy? During the reunion from hell, Adriana also accused Cristy of "giving blow jobs to 19 year olds" - could she be referring to when Cristy was a special needs teacher and allegedly performed [oral] sex on her step-son, Glen Rice Jr.?
Misery needs company indeed - and that's why Larsa and Cristy make the ultimate perfect match. They're both involved (or have been involved) one way or another with NBA super-stars, and seem to strike chords with the rest of the RHOM cast.
Larsa Pippen and Marysol's mother, Elsa, have gone through quite the "santaria" (spanish witch-craft) feud during the show - and Marysol didn't hold back her feelings, especially after Larsa called her mom a "bitch" during the season's finale. Although Larsa didn't like Elsa's interpretation of her "energy's vibes", we can safely admit that Elsa was correct about her own daughter Marysol marrying French hunk, Philippe Herda. Maybe after Larsa sees how superficial and self absorbing she comes across to viewers on TV, she'll probably finally learn to become "emotionally mature".
Lea Black seems to just watch most of the drama unfold in-front of her and kicks back with a giant bag of pop-corn. Although her sense of style and humor are quite amusing on their own - everyone is dying to know if she's had any plastic surgery or new botox done prior to last night's reunion, because all of the sudden she's looking amazingly younger... It must be great being the "mayor" of Miami!
I have to admit that Adriana kept it very sexy-real this season - from her "runway" tactics, to her priceless Brazilian accent, and steaming-hot vacation getaway with Frederick at the Canyon Ranch, she proves that stirring the pot can't ever look as appealing. It seems Adriana really held her ground against Cristy during the reunion - great for her!
Of course I had to save the best for last - Alexia Echevarria. She is known as the "Cuban barbie" and comes across as the humbling mother and perfect wife - despite the rumors of her ex-husband, Pedro Rosello, being a big time cocaine dealer, and her involvement with ex-convict, Willy Falcon.
Alexia is amongst my favorites this season, she seems more family oriented than some of the other "fame whores" on the show, and she also keeps away from most of the drama - while still being blunt about many situations all at the same time. Being a "real housewife" means taking care of your children and family's well being, and having fun at the end of it all. Despite the rumors online about her previous marriages, Alexia manages to come across as one of the more influential modern mothers of todays times.

Real Housewives of Miami - Meet The Cast
The Real Housewives of New Jersey & Beverly Hills better watch out - Bravo is about to premiere the first season [ever] of the Real Housewives of Miami in a few weeks from now, on February 22nd. The Bravo network has announced that the Real Housewives of New York series will be postponed & is now replaced with the Real Housewives of Miami.
Everyone already knows Miami is where it's at, many of the most famous reality TV shows and documentaries have been filmed here - just to drop a few names: The Real World, Jersey Shore, Miami Ink, Bad Girls, and Cocaine Cowboys.
Bravo Network has successfully outdone itself again with it's cast of new housewives for the anticipated Real Housewives of Miami - consisting of three divorcees and two married couples (let the drama begin)!
Let's introduce you to the women holding it down for Miami on Bravo's RHOM:
Alexia Echevarria (aka "Cuban Barbie") is the executive editor of the fashion magazine, Venue - she's married and has two kids.
Marysol Patton is a ten year divorcee who spends all her time focused on her public relations firm - well it sure sounds like she'll be single for ever.
Larsa Pippen is obviously married to NBA all star, Scottie Pippen - I really wonder how she was able to maintain her figure after having four kids, that NBA salary must be great!
Cristy Rice was also a NBA wife - up until her recent divorce with Glen Rice. She now runs her own clothing store and has three kids.
Lea Black is married to Roy Black, one of the best criminal defense attorneys - Lea spends most of her time involved with her own charity and is all about president Obama, I guess she's the political one.
Adriana DeMoura-Sidi has a hot temper and is known on the show as the "Brazilian Queen Bee" - she's also a freshly divorced mother who is [recently] engaged to her new partner, Frederic.
Being that I am from Miami, it would only be fair for me to keep everyone updated with the latest scoop on the Real Housewives of Miami. Tune into Bravo on Tuesday, February 22nd at 10pm eastern time for the show's premiere, and then make sure to check back here for my recap blog.
